Bumble Bee Room

Welcome to our Bumble Bee Room. Our room is a child centered environment, in which children are encouraged to explore experiment, create and interact through the medium of play.

At this stage of their development children start to participate in activities for longer periods of time such as art & craft, messy play, listening to stories and singing songs.

When children reach the toddler room they are offered a slightly more structured environment where they will have the opportunity to experiment with plenty of age appropriate activities to use their imagination and communicate, i.e., water play, dressing up area, home area, construction area and soft area.

Toddlers are introduced to the high scope curriculum through small group time doing activities such as Bran, playdough, Cornflour, Rice & Lentils. We also have large group time, where children come together for singing and dancing.

In our room we have a separate soft area where individual children can take their rest or sleep periods as they need them.

Also when each child is ready, he or she will be encouraged into toilet training in conjunction with parents.
