Childcare Training and Development Programme

Nenagh Childcare Centre is the lead sponsor for the Childcare Programme for the County of Tipperary. We have 79 Community Employment childcare and ancillary places e.g. cook, cleaner, receptionist, available in 11 different Childcare facilities in the following locations:

  • Nenagh

  • Roscrea

  • Templemore

  • Upperchurch

  • Holycross

  • Tipperary Town

  • Clonmel

  • Ballingarry

  • Glengoole

  • Cahir

  • Cloughjordan

The Childcare programme offers participants 3 years excellent supervised work experience within a childcare environment working 19.5 hours per week. While on the Programme participants are required to take part in QQI level 5 childcare training. This training is fully funded, and participants complete this training in their own time. Ancillary workers can avail of any QQI training leading to a major award.

To be eligible for a Community Employment you will need to be on the live register for a minimum period of 12 months.
